There are many internship opportunities with a global focus. These opportunities have varying expectations, benefits, application processes and locations. Some may be on-campus while others include working in another state or other country.
Internships can be academic and research related or connected to broader international interests, such as development, poverty, advocacy and so on. These differences largely depend on the organizational focus and overall purpose and objectives of an internship program.
Global Interns Fellowship
The Global Interns Fellowship program provides support and financial assistance to exceptional undergraduate students majoring in International Studies. The 2024 fellowship cohort consists of students from diverse backgrounds with high degrees of involvement both at the University of Florida and within the greater Gainesville community.
The faculty advisor for the Global Intern Fellows program is Dr. Onursal Erol. International Studies majors are encouraged to reach out to him should they have any questions.
