Academics

Relevant academic preparation is critical to effective civic engagement. The academic programs hosted at the Bob Graham Center for Public Service provide University of Florida students with the educational grounding necessary for productive engagement with local, national and global communities.

The Center is home to an undergraduate major in International Studies. The International Studies major provides cross-cultural and interdisciplinary training that prepares students for graduate study or international careers as specialists in international relations, international development, communications and media, education, business, global health, sustainability, public affairs, government foreign service, consulting, and international research.

The Center is also home to a minor in Public Leadership, which is open to undergraduate students in a wide range of majors who aspire to be effective and ethical leaders in the public and private sectors.

Faculty associated with the Center also teach a variety of academic courses offered to all students through the University of Florida course catalog.
