Graham Center Endowment Fund
Your contribution to this fund supports civic research, transformative academic programs and special events over a sustained period of time, all aimed at nurturing the next generation of leaders in public service. Just as Governor Bob Graham’s legacy continues to inspire and guide us, your donation will act as a long-term investment, with the returns supporting various initiatives that enable UF students to pursue careers dedicated to making a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. As such, this fund is ideal for larger contributions, planned or deferred gifts, or other gifts that require some planning, are tax advantaged and may be deferred.
Bob Graham Center Internship Program
Bob Graham Center internships at local, state, national and international levels cultivate leadership and professional development by immersing aspiring public service professionals in experiences that bridge academic learning with real-world challenges. As UF students ‘learn by doing’ in the public service domain, an ethic exemplified by Bob Graham during his memorable “Work Days,” they build vital career networks and clarify career goals. Your contribution to this fund, even in smaller dollar amounts, can be used right away to address current internship needs and opportunities. As such, it’s the perfect way to directly support students in their pursuit of hands-on learning experiences that shape their future careers.
Graham Center Fund for Excellence
The Fund for Excellence plays an important role in amplifying the visibility of the Bob Graham Center across the UF campus, throughout Florida, and beyond by supporting programming initiatives and center-wide operations. - David Colburn Endowment — The Colburn Student Opportunity Fund provides need-based support to undergraduate students who have secured experiential learning opportunities in civic engagement, public leadership, public policy, and public service beyond the confines of the Alachua County community. A beloved professor of history and Provost Emeritus at the University of Florida, Dr. David R. Colburn served as the director of the Bob Graham Center for Public Service from 2012 to 2019. Throughout his time serving the Center, Dr. Colburn built academic and civic programs, leadership initiatives, and dozens of research opportunities for undergraduates.
