Full Student Voter Participation

The University of Florida is making a visible commitment to reach full student voter registration and voter participation in all elections.

Voting is fundamental to the democratic process and part of every citizen’s civic duty. Yet young voters — the newest members of our nation’s democracy — have historically voted at lower rates than other age groups.

The University of Florida has signed on to the All In Democracy Challenge, a national, nonpartisan initiative encouraging higher education institutions to increase student civic learning, political engagement and especially, voter participation on their campuses.

The Bob Graham Center helps UF fulfill the All-In Challenge commitments, which include organizing initiatives that encourage the habit of voting and prepare students to be informed and lifelong voters.

UF has seen a steady rise in its voting rate, earning silver, platinum and gold recognitions from the All-In Challenge program over the past several years.

In the 2020 presidential election, UF students reached a 76.7 percent voting rate, more than 10 points higher than the average of all the program’s participating institutions.

The Graham Center continues to partner with UF student organizations and campus entities to get out the vote through the ‘Gators Vote’ initiative. For more information, visit our Gators Vote page.

Come by the Bob Graham Center, 220 Pugh Hall, between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday-Friday, and get personal assistance in completing your voter registration.
