Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact
Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties came together in 2010 to form this Compact to work together to prepare, respond and mitigate climate change impacts in Southeast Florida. The Compact is recognized as a leading example of regional climate governance empowered by local governments that set the agenda for adaptation.
One of our esteemed speakers this year, state climatologist David Zierden, represents the Florida Climate Center in Tallahassee, which collects data and reports on critical matters related to climate in Florida for people, institutions and businesses.
