Thank you, Governor

I cannot imagine what my life would have been like without the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. UF would not have achieved historic voter registration records during a global pandemic, and I would not have gotten to work with the City of Gainesville, much less most of my professional opportunities in college.

Without the Bob Graham Center, I would not have gotten my first post-grad job, and I would have been miserable in law school and not working in Washington, D.C. I would not have learned from Dr. Jacobs, Marianne, and Dorothy, and I would not have met all the wonderful friends—many of whom are in DC with me. Without the Bob Graham Center, I would not have met my girlfriend.

Bob Graham's legacy extends far beyond his tenure in office. In founding the Center, he shifted from passing laws to directly empowering individuals to forge their own paths. My story is a testament to the Center’s transformative impact. One for which I will be forever thankful to the Graham family.
