A research opportunity open to UF undergraduate students
What is Civic Scholars? It’s a semester-long research courseĀ that offers UF undergraduates of all majors the chance to learn entry-level research — how to design a research question, choose a research approach, build relationships with key faculty, present your findings, and most of all, make real change.
What will you learn? Students will gain an introductory understanding of interdisciplinary social science research approaches while learning about critical public policy issues impacting global communities .
For Spring 2025, participants should be prepared to enroll in a 2-credit courseĀ (IDS 4911: Civic/Introduction to Undergraduate Research) instructed by Graham Center faculty, Professor Marianne Vernetson and Dr. Teresa Cornacchione. The course is offered Mondays and Wednesdays, Period 5.
