Florida Agendas Project

The Comparative Agendas Project is a global collaboration that sorts policy initiatives into a universal coding scheme, allowing for easier comparison. There are currently 20 projects that span countries across Europe and the Americas.

The Florida Agendas Project expands the Comparative Agendas Project to include data on the policy agendas of the Florida’s elected officials. This dataset will allow researchers to examine Florida policymakers’ priorities over time and compare Florida’s policymaking agendas to those of officials around the world.

Students assisting with the project will collect data on bills from the Florida Legislature, executive orders from Florida governors, and policy themes within Florida governors’ state of the state addresses.
