Walter Russell Mead: Our Dangerous World: The Challenging Geopolitical Landscape

September 23, 2024 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The public is invited to attend a free public lecture by Walter Russell Mead, the Alexander Hamilton Professor of Strategy and Statecraft at the UF Hamilton Center.

He is also the Ravenel B. Curry III Distinguished Fellow in Strategy and Statesmanship at Hudson Institute and the Global View columnist at the Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Mead has authored several influential books on foreign policy and history. His book, Special Providence: American Foreign Policy and How It Changed the World, received the Lionel Gelber Award for its insights on American foreign policy, while God and Gold: Britain, America and the Making of the Modern World was listed by The Washington Post and The Economist as one of the best books of the year.

His most recent work, The Arc of A Covenant: The United States, Israel, and the Fate of the Jewish People, provides an in-depth analysis of the US-Israel relationship, addressing its historical complexities and impact on past, present and future US policy.

This program is sponsored by the UF Hamilton Center for Classical and Civic Education, the Bob Graham Center for Public Service, and the UF Alexander Hamilton Society.
