The value of servant leadership — where leaders seek first to serve — has been a hallmark of UF President Kent Fuchs’ call for increased devotion to community service and learning guided by local leaders.

On Friday, April 16 we had a panel discussion on continuing to develop aspects of servant leadership in our individual lives and in the greater Gainesville community. Panelists included UF President Kent Fuchs, UF Assoc. Provost Angela Lindner and Greater Gainesville Chamber of Commerce President Eric Godet.

The panel was moderated by UF College of Journalism and Communications professor Ted Spiker.

The public was encouraged to attend, and participate in the discussion about the positive effects that practicing servant leadership provides for communities and individuals.
