National Voter Registration Day

September 28, 2021

national voter reg day

National Voter Registration Day is around the corner!

The values of the Gator Nation are built on our community of life-long voters. Every Gator should be part of it.

Come by Turlington Plaza or the front of the Reitz Union on National Voter Registration Day, September 28, to register to vote, update your registration, or ask any questions! We’ll be there with Chomp the Vote between 11 am and 1 pm; ‘donut forget!’

You may ask: why register? It’s about more than the prerequisite to vote in the state of Florida. A registered voter is a likely voter. Typically, more than eight of ten registered voters turn out to vote in a presidential election. Because voting once contributes to the lifelong habit, helping someone register and reminding them to vote on one election can dramatically increase the likelihood that they’ll vote in future elections.

You can register to vote, update your current voter registration, and share with others through UF TurboVote at this link.
