April 5, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Gators Going Global April 5

The Bob Graham Center for Public Service, the home of UF’s International Studies major has planned an event to connect current students with UF alumni working in public service on a global scale. Join us Tuesday, April 5 at 5pm for “Gators Going Global: Living and Working Abroad.”

With Beyond120 we’re bringing together three global Gators via Zoom for an ‘ask me anything’ conversation about their work in the international sector

They will tell us about various opportunities for internationally focused careers, internships, fellowships and more. They’ll also give out tips and insights about how students can better plan their time at UF and discover international opportunities available to them.

You won’t want to miss this exciting program! Register now!

Panelists for April 5 are:

Rachel Feldman headshotRachel Feldman is a UF alumni (class of 2019) now living in Washington, DC. At the University of Florida, she double majored in International Studies (Asia) and Economics and minored in Nonprofit Organizational Leadership, and graduated summa cum laude. During college, she held internships with an NGO in India working on a rural sanitation and health project, the U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam (virtually), as well as with nonprofits in DC focusing on social issues such as anti-discrimination and women's empowerment (the Anti Defamation League and Vital Voices Global Partnership, respectively). After traveling to SE Asia post-grad, she began working at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, a nonprofit focused on promoting ethics in government on their Operations team. Wanting to go back to issues of human rights, in September, 2021, she returned to Vital Voices Global Partnership where she accepted a position on their Development team. Rachel loves exploring new restaurants, hiking, biking, and seeing live music- she tries to go to a concert every week. She's excited to connect with you so please reach out!
Hunter Hales headshotHunter Hales is a UF ’21 grad with a double major in International Studies – Europe focus, and French & Francophone Studies. During her time at UF, she was a member of the CLAS Beyond120 program, Singing for Smiles, and ELI’s Conversation Partner program. Hunter was also a co-founder of the Beyond120 Young Professionals student group. While she made the most of her time on-campus, some of Hunter's best memories were made abroad. As a UF student, Hunter studied abroad in Paris, pursued an internship in Argentina, participated in a Beyond120 excursion to London, and was one of 16 students selected to attend the 2019 Doha Forum in Qatar. In December of 2021, Hunter moved to Belize and now works as a Proposal Development Officer within the Government's Climate Finance Unit. Given her interest in climate policy, Hunter views this as a unique learning opportunity that will position her to pursue a Master's degree in the near future. Above all, Hunter is embracing this experience as one that will inspire her personal and professional growth.
