This is the second in the Spring 2021 series about preparing for your career in public service. The featured speaker was Kasey Lewis, a University of Florida graduate and Government Relations Specialist in Tallahassee.

A recording of the talk is at this link.

Attendees spoke directly with Kasey via Zoom to learn about and ask questions regarding internships, fellowships, and job opportunities in the field of public service.

During her time as an undergraduate, Kasey was selected to participate in the Bob Graham Center for Public Service’s Tallahassee Internship Program, this experience led her to discover her passion for state government and public policy making. Since graduating in 2015, she has served as a Legislative Assistant to State Representative Matt Willhite, and later to State Senator Lori Berman. In 2019, Kasey joined Lewis, Longman and Walker, a statewide law and lobby firm as Legislative Coordinator.  In her current role as a Government Relations Specialist, she assists the Legislative Team in representing clients before the Florida Legislature and Executive Branch.
