Please join us for the first in a series of talks this spring about preparing for your career in public service. Our featured speaker is the Honorable Dennis K. Hays, former U.S. ambassador to Suriname and a 1976 graduate of the University of Florida.
You will have the chance to speak directly with Ambassador Hays via Zoom and learn about internships, fellowships, and job opportunities in the field of public service.
Ambassador Hays joined the U.S. Foreign Service upon graduation and has served overseas in the Caribbean, Africa, and South America. He has also worked as an advance man for presidential and vice-presidential visits overseas, and was twice elected president of the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA), the union and professional voice of the Foreign Service worldwide.
