Alayna Dean is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Florida, majoring in microbiology and cell science with a minor in international studies. She serves as one of the student assistants for the Florida Health Policy Leadership Academy through the Bob Graham Center for Public Service at UF. Throughout her tenure at UF, Alayna has been actively engaged in research such as student attitudes on COVID-19, local government tensions in Cedar Key, and currently education evaluation research with an Early Learning Center in Gainesville. She has also volunteered her time with the UF Healthstreet Community Health Worker team doing health resource outreach in the local community. In addition, Alayna holds the role as president of the student-chapter of Gainesville for All, a service-centered volunteer organization.
