Jim Eaton
James “Jim” Edward Eaton is an Attorney at Law and member of the Florida Bar, practicing with James E. Eaton Law Office. Jim is also the President and Owner of Capital Strategies, Inc., a firm that represents corporate clients before Florida State government in health care, insurance, and construction, among other issues. Prior to his current roles, Jim was the owner of Florida Family Primary Care Centers, in which he operated six primary care clinics in Florida in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties. Jim also worked alongside Governor Graham as the Governor’s Legislative Director from 1981-83. In this role, he directed the Governor’s lobbying and legislative efforts to support his policy initiatives before the Florida Legislature including environmental, criminal justice, tax, and commercial issues. He also served as the campaign manager for the Governor’s Senate campaign from 1985-86, leading 55 employees and raising $9 million for the Governor’s victory. He graduated from the University of Florida with degree in political science and English with High Honors, and received his JD from the University of Florida Law School. During his time at UF, he was a member of Florida Blue Key and president of the UF Student Body.
