Teresa Cornacchione, Ph.D.

Teresa Cornacchione, PhD, possess over 20 years of teaching experience at both the secondary and the postsecondary levels. She is excited to serve as the Center's Associate Director, overseeing civic engagement and undergraduate research initiatives. She earned her doctorate in political science from Florida State University in 2018. Her research focuses primarily on legislative behavior of women, and on radical and anti-establishment political parties. She has publications in The Journal of Women, Politics, and Policy and Political Behavior. Dr. Cornacchione teaches a variety of courses including Women & Politics, Applied Policy Research, and Civic Scholars. In addition to her academic career, Teresa served as a Legislative Policy Analyst in the Florida Legislature's Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability (OPPAGA). She loves working with undergraduate students on their research, and helping them on their journey while at UF.
