How to Run for Political Office

Students interested in running for public office or who have an interest in learning more about the internal workings of political campaigns were provided an unique opportunity to hear and interact with three prominant and successful politicians on Tuesday, Feb. 4. Former Florida Governor and U.S. Senator Bob Graham, current Gainesville Mayor Ed Braddy, and former Gainesville Mayor Pegeen Hanrahan discussed the ins and outs of political campaigning, what it takes to run for public office and the characteristics of a successful candidate to a large student audience.
