Stephanie J. Toothaker, Esq., is chairwoman and chief strategist at Toothaker.org, representing private equity firms, innovative companies, and entrepreneurial individuals seeking complex land development entitlements. She is a 1997 graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and practices land-use and environmental law in south Florida.

Ms. Toothaker is consistently recognized as an effective advocate at the federal, state and regional level, regularly representing clients before governmental entities throughout South Florida. She has navigated the legal process of obtaining approvals for developments including David Beckham’s Inter Miami Lockhart Soccer stadium facility, Tavistock’s Landmark Pier 66 reimagining, Cymbal Development’s Marina Lofts multi-jurisdictional project, Thor’s Beach Place, OTO Development’s AC Marriott, Roger Penske’s first-of-its-kind South Florida Porsche Concept Dealership, a $50 million state-of-the-art dry stack marina, and a 523,000 square foot commercial/industrial park.

She is also experienced in national politics, having served as special counsel to then U.S. Senator Bob Graham. In 2004, she served on the Kerry-Edwards legal team, and more recently, Stephanie assisted as co-lead counsel for Broward County for the Obama-Biden legal team. In 2017, she chaired the Our Florida political action committee supporting Gwen Graham's gubernatorial campaign.

Before founding Toothaker.org, she served as a director and head of the land use and zoning practice at Tripp Scott Law Firm, and a partner with Ruden McClosky and Blosser and Sayfie. Ms. Toothaker is a regular contributor to Florida Trend and the South Florida Sun Sentinel, is involved with a broad range of civic organizations throughout South Florida. She is the first woman to serve as a Governor - and future Commodore - of the Lauderdale Yacht Club.
