Robin Gibson is a graduate of the University of Florida and the University of Florida College of Law. He is the senior partner at the Gibson Law Firm and is a certified specialist in both Civil Trial Practice and Business Litigation by Florida Bar Board of Specialization and Education.

He is the former chairman of the Board of Regents, State University System of Florida; member of the Executive Committee, Education Excellence for Florida; member of the Federal Judicial Nominating Commission of Florida; former general counsel to the Governor of Florida; and currently serves as chair of the Lake Wales Charter Schools Foundation; he served on the LWCS Board of Trustees from 2004 until June 2010, and was chair from 2004-2006.

Gibson was principal author of Article IX, Section 7 amending the Florida Constitution to provide a governance system for the State University System. He is a member of: the American College of Trial Lawyers; Florida Trend Legal Elite; Florida Law and Leading Attorneys; and Super Lawyer, Law & Politics, Florida Super Lawyers, 2006.
