Dr. Lynn Leverty served as associate director of the Askew Institute on Politics and Society and currently assists in the planning and implementation of academic programs for the Bob Graham Center. She is a senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science. Major areas of interest include public administration, ethics, immigration, women in politics and public policy. Current research focuses on gender and ethics, community building and the politics of education.
Leverty has served as a policy advisor to Governors Mark White and Ann Richards of Texas, a congressional staff member in Washington and a national consultant on immigration issues. She has published studies in the public sector on service integration, strategic planning, community service, indigent health care, women’s health and refugees. In 200, she co-authored a book with Graham Center Director, Dr. David Colburn, on the relationship between state government and public universities.
