Deirdre Macnab is the past president of the League of Women Voters Florida. She led the league in its campaigns to strike down the 48-hour turn around on voter registration, defeat 9 amendments to the constitution including the Tax Payers Bill of Rights and limit early voting and Sunday voting. Under her leadership, the league also became the largest volunteer petition gatherer and coalition partner in the Land and Legacy Amendment.
Macnab is campaign chair of Make Florida Number One in Solar Energy. She holds an MBA from Columbia University and has worked in the private sector, served on several non-profit boards and was elected to the Board of Education in Nashville, Tennessee. Her honors include the Orlando Sentinel's 2012 Woman of the Year and the Florida Commission of Women Achievement Award. Macnab is the first non-Latina to receive the La Prensa Community Champion award.
